Nigerian music star Davido and his 30BG crew, including Cubana Chiefpriest, Kiddwaya, and Soso Soberekon, were recently spotted in London, United Kingdom.

A video shared by Nigerian-UK-based media personality Adesope Shopsydoo showed Davido arriving at Pastor Tobi Adegboyega's London residence for a dinner gathering.

Meanwhile, during the evening, Davido confidently declared in Yoruba, "Won o le mu David o". This translates to "They can't get David," implying his unstoppable status.

Also, the DMW label boss further bragged about his high-profile connections. He mentioned his ability to call US presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

Renowned Nigerian singer, Terry G has on Monday, June 17, 2024, made shocking revelations about the music industry.

Terry G spoke, detailing a controversial incident that derailed his career and exposing the pervasive influence of cultism among artists.

So, in an interview on the Afrobeats Podcast with Adesope, Terry G recounted a 2016 altercation with DJ Phreez, which led to his blacklisting by the DJs Association of Nigeria (DJAN).

Also, the incident, he acknowledged, significantly hindered his career progression and served as a setback.

Furthermore, Terry G also sounded the alarm on cultism's insidious presence in the music industry. Also, he stated that it has become a major obstacle for artists like him who refuse to join these groups.

Additionally, he lamented that cultism has "hijacked our profession" and emphasized the need for its elimination to foster harmony and unity among artists.

However, the singer's candid revelations have sparked important conversations about the music industry's internal dynamics and the need for a more inclusive and supportive environment.

Subsequently, Terry G's words serve as a wake-up call, urging the industry to confront the cultism issue and create a more welcoming space for all artists to thrive.

The industry is moving on from the saga Wizkid's commentary on hip-hop unleashed and Adesope Olajide is following suit as he brokers peace with YCee.

UK-based Nigerian media personality and host of the Afrobeats Podcast, Adesope Olajide has apologised to Ycee following their exchange which had been an offshoot of the Wizkid Hip-hop segment.

ALSO READ: "I Had 'Know You' with Simi Since 2017"- Ladipoe tells Adesope

The media personality had apologised live on air at the Cool FM studio, stating that he'd made a new realisation in light of his comments to YCee who'd reacted to Wizkid's comments on Hip-hop and Nigerian rappers.

Adesope Olajide said; "I shared a video of him being supported by Wizkid a couple years ago, at that moment thinking "how come you're gonna go that hard against someone that had stood out for you in the past." After a while, a brother of mine, Micheal Tubes, said, "That's your brother right there man. So me posting a video with such a comment was almost like I threw him under the bus. And for me that was probably the most hurtful thing in the whole saga".

He then apologised by stating; "I just wanna apologize to my brother YCEE who I love so much that, that wasn't the intention, I was probably just having my own moment where I felt people that I had done so much for had come out to do certain things that didn't warrant that and it translated itself in an action that almost flung my brother under the bus; one of the most talented people I ever met and definetly one of the best rappers in the continent. So YCEE my brother, Jagaban, I love you man I didn't mean it that way.

It's another episode of Afrobeats podcast interview with Adesope OlajideĀ and this time it's South African amapiano sensation, Busiswa that gets on the hot seat where she talked about her domestic abuse experience.

The interview with the host Olajide Adesope was uploaded on the 2nd of January, 2021 on the ā€˜Afrobeats podcastā€™ page on YouTube. Minutes into the interview, Busiswa talked on why she shared her domestic abuse story with the world and how she was expecting some backlash regarding sharing her story and having opinions divided over the issue.

She went further to speak extensively on why she came up with the decision to share her domestic abuse case with the world. She talked about how during lockdown she pondered about the aim of her sharing her story which got her thinking and asking herself important questions such as "was the aim ā€œto sell records?ā€, ā€œdid she have bad intentions?ā€. She said;

ā€œWith lockdown as well, I had a lot of time to reflect and a lot of time to work on myself and I had to ask him some few questions and one of those was ā€˜you know do I have bad intentions?ā€™, ā€˜am I trying to be evil?ā€™, ā€˜am I trying to just sell records?ā€™, ā€˜what was it I hope to achieve with thisā€˜ and the thing that keeps coming back to me..... you know I was talking to people in my circles, you know the thing that keep coming back to me was it's not just about you anymore. It's you living the kind of life were it's not about you anymore and what you feel and that you can't change. You know it's too late to go back and say ā€˜i no longer want my life to be in the public eye anymoreā€™, you know it's too late for that. So first of all if I was going to talk about it, okay coolā€.

Busiswa went on talk about how she ready to meditate, make use of prayers and exercise to overcome the media backlash she was going to receive. She felt her talk on domestic abuse would Ā be seen by some parts of the public as a publicity stunt and she had to be ready to counter whatever is thrown at her by people who fail to understand the intent if her message.

She went further to talk about been blessed by God and life been more than the material things sheā€™s possess at the moment. She felt the need to to get her message across to different women who had been involved in any form of domestic violence. She said;

ā€œI then opened up myself to be not like an Oracle but someone people can to talk to about something theyā€™ve never shared with anyone.ā€

Busiswa spoke on seeing herself as not just winning, succeeding and surviving for herself but also been identified with people who have gone through one tough challenge and need her to be a voice for them and she has offered herself up for the cause.
