Nigerian singer Teni Apata has paid tribute to her late father, Brigadier-General Simeon Apata, on the 30th anniversary of his death.

According to Teni, her father was assassinated on January 8, 1995, in front of their home, in the presence of his wife and children.

In a heartfelt post, Teni shared a collage of photos and a video showcasing her father's legacy. She described him as a hero who was feared by armed robbers, having killed many before his untimely death.

Teni also shared a picture of her father's three wives, whom she referred to as "sisters" from different parts of Nigeria. The wives, Gladys Ify from Delta state, Margaret Olayinka from Ekiti state, and Margaret Folajogun from Ondo state, had granted an interview to Gregory Austin Nwakunor, in which they spoke about the significant impact of their husband's death on their lives.

The singer further highlighted one of her father's most enduring legacies: the Apata Memorial Nursery/Primary and Secondary School, which features a day and boarding house facility.

Celebrating his death anniversary, Teni, who has been open about her weight loss journey, also shared a side-by-side photo of herself and her late father, showcasing their striking resemblance.

In the post, Teni's sister, singer Niniola, offered words of comfort, advising Teni to look into the mirror and see their father's reflection. Teni expressed her gratitude for her sister's words, which she said had a profound impact on her.

American singer Chloe Bailey recently appeared on "The Breakfast Club" and addressed the romantic rumors surrounding her and Nigerian music sensation Burna Boy.

During her visit to Lagos, Nigeria, Chloe Bailey was spotted enjoying cozy moments with Burna Boy, sparking widespread speculation about their relationship.

When asked about her time in Nigeria and her connection with Burna Boy, Chloe gushed about her wonderful experience in the country but initially evaded direct questions about their relationship. However, when pressed by show host Lauren, Chloe acknowledged that she and Burna Boy are grown adults and that she had a great time in Nigeria.

The conversation also touched on reports of Burna Boy being spotted with another lady, but Chloe chose not to comment further on the matter. Her visit to Lagos had generated significant online buzz, with rumors circulating about Burna Boy flying her in and the two being spotted cruising around town in his signature purple Ferrari.

Adding to the drama, Chloe's ex-boyfriend, US rapper Gunna, arrived in Lagos during her visit, sparking further speculation. However, it appeared that Gunna's visit was also related to Burna Boy, as the two were spotted hanging out at clubs and restaurants, with Burna Boy even showing Gunna around his Lagos mansion.

Nigerian singer Chike recently took to social media to share a thought-provoking encounter with a former school bully.

The unexpected meeting highlighted the transformative power of time and personal growth.

According to Chike, the former school bully, who is older than him, surprisingly addressed him as "big bro" during their encounter. Chike reflected on the incident on X, saying, "Person weh de bully me lowkey for school just call me big bro. By the way, e senior me."

Renowned Nigerian gospel singer and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, has been invited to minister at the US Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast, scheduled to take place on January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.

The event, hosted by Reverend Merrie Turner, will precede the inauguration of President-elect Donald J. Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance.

This non-political, faith-based event aims to provide spiritual support for the incoming government through prayers and worship. The US Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast is a non-partisan tradition held every four years before the official swearing-in of a new administration.
